Castillo cost almost $1 million dollars. He had almost no games under his belt. Manga was what 1.5 million? Montero was 3-4 million. Muriel was 1.5 million euro. Abel+Zapata went for over $3 million. How much did Quinones go to Porto for? Cali hasn't won a title in how long? How have they done in International tournies. Fine some of their sub 17 guys leave for almost nothing but at the same time they aren't done developing as players yet.

Cali is badly run I won't deny it but not seeing they export the most players in Colombia is kind of weird. Nacional sells a guy here and there because they are in the NT. Man if Teo and Bacca were ept Cali players he'd prob be in Udinese as we speak

0-0 yesterday vs. Envigado. In my worst thoughts I couldn't imagine that this will look like Cali's tournament. They need to win all their 4 matches right now (which won't happen) and even then to pray for a miracle. in other words, they are out.

    http://www.elpais.com.co/elpais/dep...ntado-esta-semana-como-tecnico-deportivo-cali

Well, Alvarez to Cali, seems like a done deal unfortunately, because I really wanted to see him in Nacional. I think it's a wise decision by the directors of Cali, Leonel is the guy who can take them forward.

Leonel is looking to bring Itagui's midfielder, Cleider Alzate, as well.

I think what Leonel brings to this squad is a defensive updgrade. Lets face it Leonel knows what he's doing, and our cantera is great. If he can bring Manga, Alvaro Dominguez, Vlad Marin, back to form we'll be serious contenders for that Liga Postobon title. I really want a 9th title already. 2005 seems so long ago.

Not only that but back to our glory days in the Copa Libertadores

Great pick up but think that Marin and Dominguez should leave as they aren't worth what they are getting. I do hope he promotes some good youth players. Cali has a strong squad and now a good coach. If he made DIM champions with a weaker squad he can really do good things with Cali tho Nacional, Junior and Millos are very strong teams with good ownership. DIM and Once Caldas just got new owners so hopefully the team is getting more serious and more competitve

Marin I may agree with you, he's pretty out of it. Dominguez no, he's a champion in our team. He played great against Monterrey and overall a great player. Cali needs that to go striker. I'm hoping the Argie or Uruguayan guys we got can fulfill that.

Cali signed edixon perea, had a decent stint with Cruz azul and left to china with no goals. He's fat and has two repaired ankles his odds aren't favoring him.

Can't be much worse than Nazarith or Diego Alvarez. In Leonel I trust.

Rumors swirling that Pato might be going to Corinthians. Add that to Renato Augusto. The Brazilian league is having a renaissance.

Edixon was one of my favorite players back then, when he was in his prime with the sub-20 and helped us to win the title in 2005. I don't know what went wrong, maybe the fact that in his best form he sat very much on the bench in France and for too long. Anyway, he is a good player, surely for our league. a true goalscorer. On the other hand, Fernando Uribe was also a beast when he left Colombia and look at his last tournament...And still, I think it's a good signing of Cali.

It was a great win and goal. Caldas only scored by a blooper of the defense, I think this will be a good semester. Very competitive within Millos, Santa Fe, Nacional, Cali, perhaps Junior and D.I.M.
