Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV The first signing should be that of a coach and then the players as requested by the new coach and in accordance with Baldini and Sabatini
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Hearing Villas Boas is still in the running. There are those in Rome saying he said yes provided they bring a Porto player with him. Right now the rumor mills make it seem like it's between Villas Boas and Quique Sanchez Flores.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Quique Sanchez Flores no per favore. I've had enough with destructive football.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Be right back, changing pants. Bring me Falcao and Villa Boas and I will kiss DiB
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Let us hope, I hear the 35 million will be spent on the transfer market which seems a little low for my tastes. However with Villas Boas we might get a better picture after this Wednesday when Porto plays in the Europa League final. I'm really hoping Baldini can pull it off.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV From the latest rumors it seems like this is how the new management will look: President: DiBenedetto General director Stadium department: Fenucci General director Technical department: Baldini General director Financial department: Montali (Big ? because the Americans don't want him) Sporting Director: Sabatini Supervisor of Sporting Observers: Pradè or Sensibile (looking like Sensibile) Team Manager: Tempestilli or Peruzzi (seems like Angelo Peruzzi) Supervisor of the Youth Sector: Bruno Conti or Zeman (hoping for Zeman, Bruno Conti and his personal loans can piss off.)
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV I heard it will be 40 million at the minimum he will spend.. (Not including funds from player sales) which could bring it to 60.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV It seems the Americans might be at the stadium this weekend. Would an awful first appearance considering that stadium will be deserted. Also tomorrow the period in which companies or individual can make objections over the sale of Roma expire. After that the Anti-Trust makes their review and they approves or disapproves the sale.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Sabatini will be confirmed directly after Roma - Sampdoria. Also James Pallotta is rumored to be attending the match, which is a mistake in my opinion.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Why you think it is a mistake for him to be at the match?
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV The stadium will be deserted ... big time empty. Both teams will play with 3 or 4 reserves. It's just not such a good first appearance. Any fans that are there will be venomous towards the team. I think at this point they should wait and have a nice press conference. They make their first appearance maybe at a summer friendly against a big name opponent.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Yea, I agree but it might show him how much change is needed at the club. Might be a big wakeup call.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV vocegiallorossa.it: Intanto secondo alcune indiscrezioni raccolte da Vocegiallorossa.it, James Pallotta non sarà all'Olimpico per l'ultima gara della stagione contro la Sampdoria. He's not attending the match.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Still hearing reports that James Pallotta will be in Rome this weekend and possibly attending the match:

Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV wohoo! Finally the pieces are starting to come together. I hope this is the first of many annoucements from our new owner. Forza DiBenedetto!
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Looks like it's going to take up until the 8th of June for the Italian Anti-Trust to approve the sale. In a best case scenario it will be approved by the end of the month but not earlier.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Good thing Sabatini isn't wasting any time.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV When does the market officially open?
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV I think it opens on the first of June.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV Officially contracts are valid from 1st of July. Players can sign contracts with clubs before that though. However, they are only allowed to play official games first after the 1st of July.
Re: American Revolution - April 15th 2011 23:57 - Rosella Vattene IV I've always looked for a reason to pay attention to Serie A, and this might be my opportunity. I'm interested to see the new owner follows up on his interest in some Americans.
