I'm definitely not writing him off yet, in fact I hope he starts this weekend to hopefully get his first goal out of the way. But nothing is proven with him yet, and there is always the possibility he could follow our friend Marco. Who by no means is a bad player, just a player that needs the team built around him.
There's a couple of articles today the claim our market was financed by UniCredit who raised a line of credit to cover the purchase of players.
It makes sense they brought in the American owners to make the club more appealing for someone else to buy.
Can someone please explain the problem? Unicredit is a bank. They own 40% of A.S. Roma. They took out a line of credit to purchase players. What is the big deal? Virtually all clubs buy players through debt. Debt isn't a bad thing - it is only enormous and unsustainable debts that are bad.
I think the bad thing is that they shouldn't be buying through debt. The owners should be purchasing that through their wealth, and the losses should be covered over time, or absolved. But TBH I am no economist
I think this is a common misconception which is due to the existence of "sugar daddy" owners in other leagues like Man City, Chelsea, and PSG. But they are outliars. Even Madrid and Barca finance player transfers through debt. Again, debt isn't a bad thing. It just means you get a lump sum upfront and you pay it off over a period of time. Debt is only troublesome when it becomes large and unsustainable. We have not been committing ourselves to 25m players to fill out our squad. We have purchased some players and sold some players. If debt makes up the difference, it is a relatively small amount considering.

Disney & VW, next the stadium, not bad at all. Off field is going good, I agree. Hopefully the tail will wag the dog.

Sounds cool on paper. I've known many friends who worked for Disney behind the scenes though and they aren't all that rosy as they seem or want people to believe ....then again who is?
yeah exactly. They denied me twice from working there, but in the end it is probably better, and I can have a happier view when I go there with my family, instead of thinking about the madness of working and dealing with screaming kids 12 hours a day. My family lives East of Orlando; Hopefully I will go see a friendly down there or their practice
