According to BILD newspaper, Pizarro signed a 1-year contract with Bayern yesterday. Bayern officials have been quoted that Piza's move back to Bayern is "almost a done deal" already a week ago.

Agreed. It's not common to see a player of his age sign for a huge club. To be playing at such a high level at his age is a testament to hard work, dedication and sure a little bit of luck. (relatively injury free throughout his career)

    Bien por el.

I don't see what's so great...the only thing Pizza is getting out of this deal is money. He was signed on a free transfer after 5 years with Bremen and the contract is for a single year. He was signed to replace Ivica Olic who got tired of being Gomez' sub and left for Wolfsburg next season.

He's gonna be a solid sub. If anything he was hired to put more pressure on Gomez. I don't have a problem with him staying in the Bundesliga just not under these terms...

Its impressive to see that he can make it back to the most popular team in Germany. At his age its definitely a comeback story, or at least has potential to be if he does well there.
