umm he actually went there cause he wanted to be paid as much as Shevchenko remember?:D

he was promptly shown the exit door by Bayern after that

There is nothing wrong with wanting more money if you are ready to challenge yourself somewhere else where it is harder. That is only logical. I would have been completely fine with Farfan asking for millions if he actually wanted to go to places where he would be more challenged than at Schalke (e.g. Juve, Liverpool).

My point is - after ending with Bayern, Pizarro could have easily grabbed a place in a mid-table German team and become an undisputed starter. He could have done that BUT he went for the challenge at Chelsea, where he knew fully well that he had no guaranteed place. He failed and THEN he returned to Bremen. If media stories are to be believed, now he is looking for yet another challenge, not staying complacent. Even at his age.

Farfan took the easy way out in my opinion. Pizarro actually tried to make it big in Chelsea BUT Farfan didn't even try ("In Juve I would have to start all over again"). I give Pizarro props for that.

anyway you cut it both were money motivated

Pizarro wanted more and moved, Farfan wanted more so stayed

    nothing wrong with either

this new move is no doubt money motivated, one last decent deal.

and again nothing wrong with that since its their jobs

All deals are money motivated. Some to a large degree, others to a lesser degree.

I think Pizarro values more an sportive challenge than Farfan though.

Would be sweet if he went to Malaga, since RvN is retiring. But apparently he is going to stay in Germany.

Pizza needs to go back to the EPL. He has a score to settle. Besides, a guy with his build/style works best in the Bundeliga or the EPL...I don't think he's technical enough or has the dribbling skills to make it in La Liga. Another upside to the EPL is that he would have to bust his ass every week and that would only benefit the NT.

Pizarro in his prime > current Gomez

Can you imagine what he would have done if he had Schweinsteiger, Robben and Ribery setting him up?

Rengifo in his prime is better than any version of Gomez

they have apparently set their sights on 1 A1 player per season

they have achieved this with Ribery and Robben, will be interesting to see who they get

they didnt get one last season
