Yes, indeed it is! ....and I'll give TDS credit for not just repeating their recruiting rankings, although they did put in some real bloopers. Such as: lightning-quick Toni Payne who started 21 games for Duke and was their main offensive organizer and who only ranked 29th by TDS? ...or forward Emily Bruder who struggled in her freshman season playing in only half of the Tarheels games averaging 13 minutes per game and no goals, but still made the TDS list at 56 comfortably beating out fellow teammate Cameron Castleberry who played in every game averaging 40 minutes each and scored 2 goals and 2 assists. Go figure. This is to illustrate the fundamental fallacy of taking a listing (such as TDS publishes) and making it credible for research purposes. This really reinforces cliveworshipper's lament about doing some hard work researching of all the D-I teams to really see how each frosh contributed to the season and compare THAT with the pre-season rankings.

Thanks for that Chili Dog. The differences are even bigger than I imagined. In the past, I've said the margin of error on the IMG 150 was about +/- 125. I was being too generous, it is more like +/- 250. Of course, as someone pointed out, the Freshman list isn't perfect either, but it seems more accurate.
