Silly two-footed challenge, though in fairness he got quite a bit of the ball. The red was a little harsh imo, I was expecting to see a yellow for that. Still, 2-0 Müller, this should be over now.
If Dante picks up a yellow in the round of 16 first leg, we could have a central defense of DvB and Tymo.
I don't think it was a straight red foul ... By the way, anyone remember Marcelo's tackle on Müller ?? Way worse and Yellow card ... Just great "refereeing" !!
It was dumb, it was studs up from a poor position. Completely unnecessary and more often than not results in a red. You just don't make challenges like that. The Marcelo tackle was obviously a mistake as well.
Boateng should never have put the referee in a position to have to make that call. Nothing to complain about here but the idiocy of our own player.
Not good considering Bads is out for a while. It'll be DvB & Dante holding down the fort in the middle for the next match.
