    My friends,
What is this angst I am seeing. Bayern is superior in every aspect. Solid defense, fastest and most fluid midfield in Europa and striking options that inspire fear. This is Arsenal we are talking about. This will be an execution, not even fair. Even with Podolski and Mertesacker, the Goooners are cannonfodder!:devilish: I am going to say 4-0 and that may be conservative.
The BPL is not what it once was. I can't see Manchester United (my favorite English side since 1972) in the Final. While, they played inspired at Real Madrid, Real was clearly the better side. The CL is going to be decided between La Liga and the Bundesliga.
In the Emerites, Bayern will take it's anger out on Arsescum for losing the CL Final at the Allianz. Londons Burning!!!!:devilish:

In terms of domestic performance, Bayern are only behind Barca across Europe. The stats to their season are simply startling. With 57 points, 57 goals and just seven conceded in 22 games, they are on course to absolutely obliterate the Bundesliga records for points-per-game and defensive performance.

I have answered this question in the past. Yes, I was a former TSV 1860 Torhuter with the Jugend C and B teams in the mid-70s. Bayernischepokalsieger Jugend B 1977. Played 102 matches over three and 1/2 years before returning to the states for my senior year and college.
My father worked for a defense contractor and I attended the München International Schüle. It is a long boring story.
However, as some of you know, FC Bayern and TSV shared the Grünenwald Stadion for their Jugendspiel and the teams did have a very cordial relationship in training the youth teams. I was able to train under Sepp Maier occassionally and see other FC Bayern greats regularly working with our youth team coaches. In addition, we had occassional training sessions and matches at the Säbener Strasse facility.
Many were surprised I was a U.S, citizen though I actually held both US and German passports as my mother was German. Our "Profi" team was playing in the Oberliga back then. Thus, we came to respect and admire the success of FC Bayern and I have always been a deep and loyal fan since.
However, "Einmal Löwe, immer Löwe" and I use the emblem as my Avatar. It is a matter of honesty and integrity.

It's going to be a good game, I'm excited. Haven't been as confident or gung ho as other, but if Bayern plays to their full potential we should be able to beat them just enough so that they'll forfeit their match at the Allianz in fear of leaving that f*cking Island. :D

going to have to watch on dvr when I get home from the office around 5 tonight. It'll be hard staying off this forum and other football sites after 2:45 today, but I've got a ton of work to do at work - go figure:) - and my head will be buried in budget projections and revenue estimates. I'm hoping for a clean sheet and an away goal or two - that would be fantastic! LET'S GO BAYERN!!!!!!

Hoping for a great game from our team, especially Van Buyten. We'll need him at his very best to keep a clean sheet.

I'm getting ready to head out and looking forward to a couple of 0.5Ls with Torjäger and our crew at the bar, where we will be outnumbered by Gunners most likely. If I may dust off a chestnut I used on the CL draw thread, ca. 2005:

If I was put on the spot, I'd think we have the advantage up the middle going forward. Don't think arteta and cazorla can offer enough defensive help to Wilshere. Ribery, if on, will also give Sagna major headaches and I expect that to be our early attacking focus, as per usual.

OTOH, one can easily see Walcott skipping past Van Buyten. I think Neuer will have to do his part tonight.
