I don't think we will be title less this season. but i agree with you we did came out good from last years disaster with pretty much same lineup , new additional are helping a bit in our run.

i think JH did good job as experience coach to put together young star and we are the best in Europe (defensive team). how many team can reach that level every year....look at even Real and Barca, Chelsea spend tons of money to make it through every season. we are in good system as the team and whole club ....

if our player really want and give it their all....there is no reason we can't win this year CL...even we might miss one or two player in second leg...but if the team fight together we have good chance to make a history in May!!!!!!

I see where you're coming from, everything you have said is pretty much agreeable, and although I like what Heynckes is done in so much as I am persuaded to keep him even if we do end up trophyless this season, which would be a near disaster, but he has shown the wisdom and experience to tamper with the team and carve out a functional unit. He is doing terrifically even without our two top players, Schweinsteiger and Robben, for stretches of the season. This alone speaks volumes of his ability as a coach, though I hope we can grind out a respectable result against Madrid, and at least win the DFB Pokal, but we'll need our finest for both this immense fixtures..

Agree. Would be "disastrous" by their standards.

Yes, going trophy less sucks no argument from me, and secondly its the Bayern way to win.

Now with that out of the way, my comments were to say that this year JH should not be measured by how many trophies we win this year.

He was faced with the monumental task of repairing the players psyche, our horrid defense, team confidence and spirit (I'm not even going to mention the normal things that managers are do like tactics and formations).

At this moment looking at the team we can clearly say that we have come a long way in all those areas, and for that you will not find me shouting from the mountain top to axe him if we go trophy-less.

To many times we are quick to burn people at the stake without seeing the process through.

Like I said, think about it, would he a failure if this were to happen:

    1. RM 0 - BM 1(Home)
    RM 2 - BM 0 (Away)
    Result: NO CL TROPHY

    2. On Wed: BM 2 -BvB 2, then both teams win out the rest of the year.
    Result: NO BL TROPHY

    3. Cup Final - we lose in PK shout out...
    Result: No DFB Cup

Just imagine the mood around here.

So no my standards are not low, I want to win but it can all go wrong pretty quickly and we have to look at a his body of work in its totality and not the last 3 - 4 weeks.

Part of that monumental change is 35 million euros spent. There better be one trophy at the end of the year but as I've said before even though it's "treble potential", all I really care more than anything at this point is winning the cup at home.

I think he was acquired in 2008 before being promoted in 2009.
