All I care about is them not sticking either their left or right foot up their ass and go out there and play like it really matters.

But you're right this can have a definite impact our ball distribution when building from the back.

 

He's probably our best (or best all-around, whatever you want to call it) striker but unfortunately not 25 anymore so it makes sense to play in the important games.

Something I remembered just now:

Back when LvG introduced the RCB/LCB thingy at Bayern München there was quite a discussion about it and because there was only one similar case beforehand in the recent Bundesliga history Kicker? interviewed Marcelo Bordon who by the time was in his last days at Schalke 04. Since his move from Stuttgart he had paired up with Mladen Kristajic for ~4-5 years at Schalke and they were a hell of a CB together. Especially Bordon who was in my view the best CB of the Bundesliga for several consecutive years so I rate his opinion highly. He said that it was a constant struggle for Kristajic and him during their first two years to have two left footed CB's because the both of them lacked a strong right foot.

 

So its NOT ok to say that since Lille won that I think this match will end up being a draw with both teams playing it cautious?

 

Its not as if the commentators in this match wouldn't mention it 20 times anyway. Relax.

 

Eventually our opponents will simple leave 4 men to defend our corners.
