14 year old salvadoran-american could apparently join the youth ranks at Lyon.

That article also has some BS about his "Desire" to play for El Salvador. Im not buying it, hes already apart of our system and if he wants to play in a world cup he aint doing it for El Salvador. Even Dustin Corea eventually turned them down.

Great news. If he stays there, I would guess we have at least one candidates for the U-17 WC from outside Bradenton.

At first, I thought, "WTF, the Uruguayan at Porto? What is he doing on the YA?"

Pretty cool. The kis plays very well and is a good passer. Hopefully he makes it in Lyon's youth.

I think you can get around it if you have an EU passport. I don't know if this kid does.

I think whats most impressive (at the 1:17 mark) is that this 14 yr old stud appears to have just dispossessed Marouane Fellaini! Cap him now?

    Hi Dave,

Yes. It is my site. Christian has dual nationality. Both of his parents are from El Salvador.

my first look at the article mentioning OL made me think there was some mistake, in it they talk about FC Lyon a completely different (and though older, now far less pretigious) club... in fact my son played there one season!

but the picture definitely shows him in olympique lyonnais kit. that said, it's common to play kids in these tournaments who don't have licenses. i doubt OL would want to bring him into their academy at his age, it's just not deontological, but their interest may continue, in a couple of years he may indeed end up at tola vologe!

Made the change. For a foreigner, that city's a mouthful to say with correct Dutch pronunciation.
