Tomorrow is the first day of the Premier League season, and it reminds me of my fondest memory of Chucho. Four years ago he made his EPL debut coming on as a second-half sub at Old Trafford. He dribbled past many United players and came very close to scoring (like always! haha) and he wowed the home fans. It was Antonio Valencia's first EPL match in a United shirt as well, but I found myself unable to take my camera lens off Chucho on that day. Here I'd like to share with you guys every picture I took of Chucho. http://imgur.com/a/wwcU7#28
Awesome gallery. I remember that match well. If Chucho had scored on that one where he dribbled Wes Brown and was saved by Ben Foster...it would have made a huge impact on his prospects in the league. Instead he continued for Birmingham as a super-sub for several matches until he started getting a good run of games around the middle of the season.
1 year ago today. We miss you Chucho! http://www.eluniverso.com/deportes/...tbolista-ecuatoriano-christian-chucho-benitez
There wasn't a lot of coverage surrounding Benitez, but the controversy didn't really subside at all. A few small articles here and there, but nothing to note the magnitude of what we felt last year. It appears the FEF and others haven't met the promises that were passed to relatives. I sincerely hope this isn't the case. QEPD, Chucho.
Yes--I heard they haven't paid back the costs to transport him back to Ecuador to be buried. Is this true?
