Chris just looks like a "suit," in a way that Lexi never did.

I like it kris was and is a stand up dude. He gave his all for the club and I'm happy to see his efforts rewarded. No doubt our club is being run be competent people, People who know that LA Galaxy fans deserve and expect nothing less than championship caliber squads and top class executives. A part of me kind of feels for CJ13 though, I can't imagine why he's not more involved in the inner workings the club? After all he was and is the essence of LA Galaxy football.

The President of The Kings, who replaced Tom Payne last year. I didn’t see any negatives last year, but I recall people familiar with both The Kings and The Galaxy being wary of his appointment.

On a side note, my wife swore he was on her flight to London last Wednesday...

I understand this feeling. But, the fact that Cobi was a fantastic player does not mean he has either coaching or administrative skills. I didn't see a lot of clubs lining up to grab him after his time as an assistant coach with Bruce. (I always thought that was a "forced marriage" kind of thing.) I mean, really, grabbing a job with a Cosmos team that doesn't actually exist? That smells of a kind of desperation - at least to me.

Having listened to Cobi's commentary during games, he doesn't seem like the brightest bulb in the bunch. Not quite management material.

Yep. Klein is being promoted on merit, not gratitude. I can’t find it now, but Chris had(has?) an investment company for soccer players to ensure they had money to retire that sounded quite successful.

That is quite the upward mobility. Glad to have one of our own MLS guys given the chance, and I hope he and we have much success.

Nicest player I've ever met and a worthy choice for this role.

Always pleasing to see a good guy win in an industry where there is plenty of cynicism, ego, selfishness and negativity.

Can we call him Oz? I wonder if he had that nickname (American Pie reference) when he was with the KC Wizards. The pun would've been hard to avoid.

I have a vague recollection through reading The Beckham Experiment that Chris was the one who gave financial advice to other players correct - even set up a clinic of sorts?

    And did that for years?

The man is no dope. Seems like a great match.

I'm sure Chris is brilliant, and I'm sure he'll make a wonderful front office executive. But damn, 2 years from retirement to club president? I hope he has some really good mentorship.
