they were changing coaches so quickly, i couldn't quite put my finger on it! i guess it went efrain, arellano, paco, arias, then real. wikipedia mentions arellano coaching two copa lib mathces, so it really is a mess. i think paco did coach some of those matches right in the heart of the swine flu deal getting stuck in peru, etc. after taking a closer look, i don't think arias was coaching in the tourney. my bad.

one thread idea is 'los tecnicos en la era vergara: que fracaso'

Real is doing fine, but that last game was a complete FAIL on his part.

When you compare the talent level from other teams like america, tigres, santos, monterrey, toluca, pumas, etc. Real has done an exceptional job. All chivas is doing is creating players from cantera.

Honestly, Vergara's hirings since Chepo left have been horrible. Flores was the only one I semi liked and that was just because of how offensive we played.

Weak excuse. Scoring was not a problem, holding the lead was. In fact it still is.

Scoring was a problem since chich left, although with bravo thee was some last stints of some ability to score, but it died out shortly there after. The scoring ended in the final of libertadores. We have one of the bet defenses in the league.
