Because the sort of expertise that gave the world "Chivas USA 2005", and "Let's bounce out of CCL along with Toronto El Poderoso" is expertise the world desperately needs to know.
Not only do you get the conflict of interest between these two teams in the sense that CUSA will be stripped of any really talented players of Mexican descent that they discover/develop, but now what happens in the Draft? Most teams do a draft board by talent, then by positional needs, with considerations for Gen. Ad. and any international slots. Does CUSA take ethnicity into account over talent, on the off chance a college draftee could wind up back at the mothership?
the most talented player cusa pancho mendoza couldnt hack it in our league. its too bad because i really wanted him to succeed. if CUSA does get any talent they will more than likely send them to finish developing in the guadalajara academies first. its too bad we guadalajara is in a transitional period because we could have used our youngster alot more for the CCL.
The most talented CUSA player is currently a starting keeper in the EPL. The second most talented is playing for a Belgian team in the Champions League. Mendoza was the best of a terrible crop of players that originally came from Guadalajara and was the only one that was able to hack it in MLS during that time period. Now, not so much. Well in all fairness, both TFC and Chivas were under the direction of Dutchman. And we have all seen how well the Dutch have coped with knockout stages this year.....
and what use is guzan for guadalajara? clearly the point was in reference to players of mexican heritage.
And that is going to be a huge problem for CUSA if they hold to it. It should be what use is "______" ofr CUSA and only them. Kinda like 99.9% of clubs in the world.
Have the redbulls tried this yet between their like 4 or 5 clubs. I wonder if there is a proven track record of this working in any situation with two leagues. Also, wasnt Chivas most successful time period based a lot in part of Bob Bradley defensive oriented team later coached by Preki with a Sacha Kljestan who was unplayable for stretches during that time period
A few times. It's failed miserably, although that probably has more to do with which players RBNY has been getting rather than the potential of the system. The last gem to be given to New York was Salzburg dropout and perennially injured waste of cap space Brian Nielsen, who's club-less at 25.
You CAN work with other teams. I just don't think it helps if you're regarded as the baby in the arrangement. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...te-David-Beckhams-failure-play-Londoners.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/9405056.stm
