anyone else besides me think it's total bullshit that Vasco did not pick any players from Cruz Azul, Monterrey, Pumas, etc. for the friendly against Korea? yet when we play our Libertadores game we are gonna have to do it without certain players because of the NT if i were Vergara or Lebrija, i would bring this matter up
Lebrija did bring it up a few weeks ago, and got shot down again. They had agreed to this beforehand at an owner's meeting. Unfortunately Chivas should have thought about it then. The other teams won't get their players after Apr 3 either.
Shit pisses me off ,didnt this already happen to us before? I believe it was a third place Copa America game where our players were still con la Sele and Chivas was eliminated,I know we agreed to it and its part of the S.A. preparation, but god damn we really have a chance to win this shit thats very important to Mexico also IMO....
Do you guys think Gaucho Avila will ever get back in form? he's like 25 now isnt he? the injuries havent let him play, but maybe he'll start to bloom late like magallon? remember how freaking good he was like two years ago when chivas was superlider. and also the following season, paring up with venado and pina. i was watching the interliga highlights from a year ago. just a random thought [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETKPOirMlKA&feature=related"]YouTube- ATLAS 1-3 CHIVAS ---- INTERLIGA '09 ---- martes 06/enero/2009 ---- HD[/ame]
Nice job by Medina, Hernandez, and Magallon last night against North Korea. Medina was solid at moving the ball around. He and Blanco almost combined to open up the scoring early on but an arm prevented it. And Magallon and Hernandez teamed up to produce the winning goal.
Alright so which do you guys like best...Blue or white socks? after thinking it over a bit i think i prefer the look with the white socks better.
"Lo vi patear una rata bien recio. Ahi supe que lo del iva ser futbol" lol@johnny's brother its in one of the three ESPN videos on the thread. Here is the first [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j602wQJfrSk"]YouTube- Frente Al Reto Episodio 4 Jonny Magallon 1 of 3[/ame]
Here's Pinita's Frente al Reto. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKEZfPVWNG0"]YouTube- Omar "La Pina" Arellano Part 1- Frente Al Reto[/ame]
Barring injury, i think Hernandez, Magallon, and Michel are locks to go to South Africa. What do you rate as Bofo and Medina's chances of joining them are? I cant picture Bofo making it, hes out of shape and lost some of his edge while with Chiapas. But i think Medina could squeeze himself into the last list. He gets bashed a lot around here, but hes got a talent that few other players in Mexico do.
to be honest, i think Bofo has a better chance than Venado i'll wait until tomorrow to see how Bofo and Venado do against Iceland to make my final decision
I don't think either Bofo or Venado will make the 18 player camp. Aguirre has stated tho that players not in the camp could still make the roster. So its up to Bofo, Pina and Venado to do well.
Arellano probably isnt even on the radar. Hes riding the pine and hasnt done much during this season to merit a call up. He's fallen off the list like Galindo did.
as someone posted in the NT surprise call up thread, Pina Arellano would make sense if called he's got similar qualities to Nery only big difference is that Pina actually plays and trains with his team and hopefully he gets to play this weekend against Santos anyway, the next player i would love to see debut with Chivas is Kristian Alvarez he was captain of the NT in the Sub-17 where Coronado played as well and he got his debut already
I don't think he'll get called, but let's also not forget the close relationship Aguirre has with Pinita's dad.
i think what aguirre would have to say that he has known omar for a long time and that he believes a player like arellano is necessary for the team and that due to him having known him for a long time he can intsill confidence in arellano in order for him to regain his level (thats if he calls him up tho)
