Any rumor involving Porto buying from a G16 team is hilarious. Besides, of Chich is sold, and that is a big if, ManU will make a profit.

Some people actually believed the Cheech to Real Madrid rumors.

The trade would be for James Rodriguez, one of the top 10 wingers in Europe at the moment and a starter MF for the Colombian NT at only 21. The kid is a phenom at his position and considering his age. It was reported Porto refused a $30mm pound offering this summer for James from Man U ((http://www.thesportscampus.com/2012...no-takers-for-macheda-and-owen-heading-to-uae ). Truth is SAF needs a MF like James to replace the likes of 'old' style Man U play like Giggs/Scholes AND feed his strikers. He fits perfectly in a ManU system just like Antonio Valencia has thrived. Upfront ManU is all set, hence why Chicho (who really is a true talent), can be sold in the ManU book.
It would be Chicho + addtl money for Porto in the deal, so Porto would get a win-win, not Man U. Bear in mind that Porto knows how to transform and market young talent. Chicho would be a constant starter and also play CL. So don't knock Porto as a downgrade.
