The interview was funny, because it seemed authentic. Sheen wasn't "trying" to be a nut. Everything after the interview is boring.
I feel the same way, everything since then is an imitation of what went over so well in that brief period. And I've known people like this before, they have some kind of authentic peak experience that they then get hung up on and eventually become a parody of it. Reminds me of how religions are born and eventually get corrupted through time and ordinary human bullshit....
Well in fairness, all you need to do in Amsterdam to see one of those stories is talk to one of the homeless people. Like the American guy I met who claimed to also be Canadian, and German and Irish... that had come over for a business meeting a few years ago... then had 'EU Feds' take all his stuff off him at Schiphol... and hide it in lots of separate places... UNDERNEATH the city... which he has been searching for ever since!
Actually that could be a good plot for a movie. And I can think of the perfect actor to play the lead.
Nah, he's way coked up. You can tell the difference. You're a bit more uppity on meth. Sheen was just talking a bunch of shit that popped into his head. Classic coke head.
What would truly be genious, is if they got a (secretly temporary) stand-in to play for a month (while hopefully charlie gets his act straightened out, and tries to mend bridges with producers), and unexpectedly, in one episode, have charlie walk through the front door, and say, "I am back.... Heh, who are you? what are you doing in my house?" That would be priceless
Now, there is a concept. A sitcom that really isn't a sitcom but is actually reality tv even though the actors don't KNOW it is reality tv because they believe they are filming a sitcom.
Damn, you just one-upped The Truman Show. I think there are already alien cultures tuning into The Charlie Sheen Show. He is a totally bitchin rockstar from Mars, after all.
I think in this case it was the opposite. We had a sitcom and the main character didn't know it was a sitcom. He thought it was reality TV.

Charlie's tweet after the police search Just a clarification...*I* do not follow him on twitter. I got that from the article.
Hell, I follow Charlie Sheen for the same reason why I follow White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen: You never know what craziness may get tweeted, like during the Super Bowl when Guillen tweeted a picture of himself eating a huge bowl of Jello while watching the Super Bowl.

The wife and I just came into Charlie tickets for next month in Houston. Better be good or she'll never hear the end of it.
