Man United team v Braga: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Evans, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Welbeck, Rooney, Hernandez. #mufc

Excited to see valencia at RB. Not so excited to see Welbeck on the left.

One of the main reasons is Nani's situation because he won't be a key player for United for some time. Without him and Valencia instead of him, you simply can't play 4-2-3-1 because Valencia doesn't do that formation. And even if Nani would've been played on the right wing, it's harder to play 4-2-3-1 without Kagawa. Perhaps when he's gets fit, we will see another try at it.

There we have it. A fantastically shitty line up. We will have to overcome idiotic personnel choices.

Giggs + Ando is going to suck big time.

The only positive is that with Rooney in the hole, there should be some help. It wouldn't be as bad, if it were say Carrick in place of Rooney and more of a 433 look. Oh well. We shall see just how deep Rooney comes.

If we keep a clean sheet for the first half, we should be okay. That's a big if though. smh.

Looks as if wastefulness in possession will be the order of the day with the midfield we've picked.

Which we very well might, considering the lineup.

I'm surprised by Fergie with this line-up. Surely much better to play a pretty strong line-up and finish this group off. Now if it back fires, we have to go to turkey next week still needing points. Hopefully it all turns out well, but Fergie said he would take it seriously this year and try and cut out the complacency and over confidence, looks to me that's exactly what he is doing (complacency\over confidence) in this game.

Any other club would be giving someone like Lingard or Cole an opportunity. Instead we're prolonging a 39 year old's career.

    Someone shoot me please.

I thought Giggs did really well against chelsea, so not at all surprised to see him in the starting line-up.

And I think Rooney will play pretty deep providing some additional cover for Anderson and Giggsy.

eager to see how we'll lineup. there's always the odd possibility that rooney and anderson will be the midfield 2 with giggs on the left?!?

Hopefully we don't let Eder & Co. run rampant against our back again. Don't see how giggs+ando+nani does that at all.

one good thing about our personnel is that with Danny, Nani, Giggs, Ando and Valencia all on the pitch, Rooney wont need to do any dribbling. We can present a threat to go past men without him.

Don't pass it with your purse next time Anderson. Nani was in free.
