    Easy solution. Recall Courtois.

Damn. Schwarzer is a solid option, and I think we can beat Atletico with him in goal, but if we get to the final then Cech's absence could really hurt.

I dont know. I mean, go back and look at the lineup we used when we beat Munich in Munich.

Bertrand. Left winger. Not to mention Our defense was half missing and injured.

Well our defense is now put injured with JT out. Our side will look pretty similar to the side that faced Bayern in the final.

Yeah, but we only won cause Cech stopped a number of penalties.

It's not the end of the world, but considering the teams we could face in the final (and we're not out of the woods yet with Atletico), I'd say Cech is a pretty big miss.

I'm also not particularly keen on following the pattern of the Munich final. We won and it was brilliant, but it's not a great blueprint to follow for consistent success.

we were without our three best goal scoring threats today in Hazard, Eto'o, and Schurlle (for most of it). we'll pose more of a threat at home i'm sure. the concern is obviously the defense. but Luiz has also shown that when given the right instructions, he can be crucial at CB. not have Cech is a big worry though. he's come up big in the big games for us in the past.

I'd be thrilled if we had Hazard at the weekend and the second leg, but he's hurt and as things stand so is everyone else.

I'd prefer we go with Luiz in midfield and Bane at CB otherwise we have to play MVG in a match where we would have to rely on player who hasn't played for the first team in over six months and only had 90 minutes once since returning. I'm good with him as cover, but have concerns if we trot him out with Ramires..

    I'd like to see.

    Courtois
    Dave Gaz Bane Cole
    Ram Luiz
    Schürrle Oscar Willian
    Eto'o

Now if has is healthy that changes as I'd take out Willian.

Given Mourinho stating the Champions League as priority in the presser, I assume we'll see Salah at the weekend

What is the tactical set up and preferred result at the Bridge? I would think the classic 1-0 result is what Mourinho would go for. So a set up that is defensive but not playing so far back.

Salah and Matic will always play at Premier League considering they can't play at CL

Preferred 1-0, but in all honesty, that went out the window with the cards today. Losing 2 of our 4 midfielders really fecked us in selection. If we play Oscar in the 3 then maybe we can set up defensively, but I see more a 4-2-3-1 now.

For a team that already concedes so few goals I don't see the need to play particularly defensively at the bridge (or at least anymore or less than we do on a regular basis). With Hazard and Eto'o back we have zero excuses for playing our own game.

Of course, with Chelsea playing at home we can expect more of a fair share of the referee calls...

One did. It was Costa's boot on JT's.

    Just saying.

I saw it 3-4 times. He steps on Luiz's feet and twists it. What am I missing?

Costa (if he did, not clear) steps on his right foot and it was the left that was damaged.

Not sure what Jose means by that. I guess he wants to prioritize which trophy to go for and the decision rests in the club's hands?
