Dortmund was definitely better in 2013. Bayern and Real were fairly even in 2012.

    That matters?

    Agreed.

I almost think Ibra possibly being out in the next tie works against us. Lavezzi and Moura starting when we have to push for two goals will be tough, I'd much rather have to defend against Ibra in those circumstances.

He had a poor game. Didn't command his area, didn't goalkeep with authority, looked on the weak side today. He can do so much better.

Just to let you know that I'm not trolling.

No they were not, if Mourinho didn't have problems with his entire squad they might have draw or even won that away game in Dortmund. Maybe you should rewatch that match again with your eyes. ;)

    jesus christ, Fox...

Dude just said on live TV, "Chelsea literally have to win by 3 or more goals at home to advance now"

I watched the PSG players and kept thinking, 'I wonder if we looked at THAT guy as a possible buy?'

I mean, DID we look at Pastore, Lavezzi, etc.? I honestly don't know.

We've got some good young talent but I don't want us turning into Arsenal where we're always just ABOUT to win something once they mature and develop.

It was allegedly between us and PSG for Pastore who basically said later that he chose PSG as it was the safer option.

I'd like to see Mourinho sharpen up a bit honestly. Bring back the Armani. The track suit w/two-day beard, messed up hair and disinterested look puts me off.

    Oh, right.

Yeah, well, not him particularly but in general. We seem to buy players who are either, a) youngsters who might do something at some point or, b) guys who are under-performing when we buy them.

Some of the first group turn out OK, as you'd expect, but some of the others never really seem to get started in the first place with Torres being exhibit 'A'.

I mean, with Torres and Willian that's £80m and, y'know... you kinda wonder where it went sometimes, don't yer.

Actually, with Willian, I'm still waiting to see quite where the £30m price tag comes in but maybe next year?

    Jesus... we ARE Arsenal :D

    I'm kidding, fellas... I'm kidding :)

If the cost of a razor is significant I dread to think who we're gonna end up with but I've got some Asda/Walmart coupons if it'll help.

at this stage it might be better to keep the razors away from Jose

Nah, instead we drop 32 million pounds on fecking WILLIAN. Comical.

Well, that went way worse than I thought it would go. Not to much to say other than again…again I am blown away by how this team can make it onto the pitch and simply not play. The gap in quality between Hazard and those around him continues to be way too obvious, and its about time Jose gets the midfield sorted.

We'll regain form vs Stoke this weekend, then beat PSG enough to go through. Feeling good about it.

think willian is very good and thought he was really good this game as well. he's not had much of an end product lately but he's the type of player that should be playing in and around and assisting a good striker, which we don't have. i think i've personally been really underestimating just how much the striker's role is important to our system and how ineffectual it makes us look. can you imagine how hazard and even willian would look linking up and assisting a striker that doesn't keep making the wrong runs and fluffy his touches? shows how important Eto'o has been for us i think and he's nowhere near the peak of his powers. imagine we'd had an in form top striker.

also, the midfield HAS been sorted in many ways. but he won't be available for this competition until next year. Matic's contribution to the team is priceless. granted, i wouldn't end the additions in midfield with just Matic, but he's been huge for us.

Jose on why he picked Schurrle up top:
I hope that hits Torres right in the feels.

Lately as in…months…or, ever. He makes Florent Malouda look prolific.

David Luiz shows more attacking instinct than the kid.
