Team News: The gaffer says he's going to rotate the squad but Rooney will play himself into form. Valencia (hamstring) and Nani (doghouse) are still out. Vidic also out. Kagawa may return.

    Have at it!

This match is actually not just a formality. It is a dress rehearsal for the coming weeks. Being able to rotate and get wins over the next month or so could prove vital in the league. My guess is that Rvp and Carrick will rest with Clevs, Fletch and Welbeck
    starting.

Knee deep in it. Knee deep.

Powell playing is about the only interesting thing I can see in this one (unless Kagawa plays).

I want to see Powell again. Hope Welbeck bags a goal for confidence.

if de gea doesn't start, his agent should hand in a transfer request. i think we all saw that lindegaard dealing better with crosses was an urban legend. he panicked and froze on a lot of crosses.

Yes, time for Fergie to "rotate" his goalkeepers again. De Gea has had his wisdom teeth now, is well rested and need him to get some practice before Sunday.

I'll be disappointed if we don't win by multiple goals and keep a clean sheet.

I'd like to see Macheda, Tunnicliffe, and Petrucci on the bench.

    Starting eleven like this maybe

    De Gea

    Smalling
    Jones
    Evans
    Buttner

    Fletcher
    Powell
    Cleverley

    Welbeck
    Chicharito
    Rooney

    Fergie mentioned Rooney will start.

I would rather have Scholes and/or Giggs starting, because that would (likely) mean we won't see them in the derby.

Yes yes yes, whatever it takes not to see them in the derby.

I like this lineup but replace Cleverley with either Scholes or Giggs. I want Cleverley rested for the weekend. Now that Ando is out, I have to think SAF will be smart enough to play Cleverley with Carrick and hopefully Rooney in a 4-3-3 at the weekend. This also gives DDG a warm up game before this weekend and SAF gets to dish out his "punishment" on Raf for his antics last weekend before reinstating him at RB for City.

i think clev needs games. people seem to be obsessed with rest nowadays, like a 23-year old can't play 2 games in a week. he should be able to play every other day!

Im having flash backs of the last Derby @ City. We started with Park, Giggs, Scholes and Carrick. Dont think we created more than 1 chance that game.

Is it a safe bet that we'll see one of Smalling or Jones at RB on Sunday?

I think it depends on how pissed SAF is at Rafael and what formation we play. If we lineup in a 4-3-3, especially if we're without Valencia, we are going to need Raf at RB if we are going to have any wdith going forward.

Well done on the selection. If we are playing a fluid front the with Wayne and Welbeck taking turns playing false 9 with the other two playing wide, it will be even better.
