Luiz needs to sit for this one. We were set up perfectly against them last time with Oscar marking Pirlo, but I can see Roberto retreating to the 4-3-3 from last season to play for a point.

    Cesar-Ivan-Gary-Cole
    Ramires-Mikel-Bertrand
    Hazard-Sturridge-Mata

We need at least a draw, right?

No. If Juventus beats us, loses to Shaktar, and we beat Nordsjaelland, we're through. That said, a point is huge here, as it effectively puts us through no matter the Juve-Shaktar result if we take care of Nordsjaelland.

RDM: 'Ashley Cole is available to play. The defensive focus of the team will be very important tomorrow.' #CFC

not my usual request, but park the bus tighten down the D play for no worse than the needed draw and hit on the counter,

Dont have positive vibes going into this one. Pretty sure Torres will start this one (regardless of what RDM has been saying) and it will be great to have Ash back but he wont have his usual match sharpness/fitness. Dont think they have been playing well but they will of course get pumped and play a flyer tomorrow. Hoping for a very un-Novemberesque day tomorrow.

    PS
Its fantastic to see herr lobo again.

Defensive lineup and Hazard as striker? I imagine something like this.
    Cech
    Ivanovic, Cahill, David Luiz, Cole
    Ramires, Mikel, Bertrand
    Moses, Hazard, Mata

Wow, Azpi on the wing. Over Bertrand. No striker. Amazing selection.

Real surprised that Sturridge doesn't get a spot on the bench. He could be just the thing in the 70th minute.

    So

    Cech
    Ivan - Luiz - Cahill - Cole
    Azpi - Mikel - Ram
    Mata - Hazard - Oscar

    Surprised to say the least.

He must have some little injury, as there is no other way to explain giving bench spots to Marin and Piazon ahead of him.

A 5-2-3 is the most likely formation given the personnel; Azpilicueta and Cole as the wingbacks.

interesting to see who's in the Fabrigas role.

Studge injured or off to the hubcap thieves?

can't blame RdM for benching Torres.

    ppsstt...i hope we will.
