It's now snowing like mad down here on the Cote de Crab. The parking lot and cars are begining to become covered, and visibility is dropping.

GB is without access. Actually she is in Leesburg, I sent her to get me some prescriptions, milk, cat food, and charcoal and now she's stuck in Leesburg with all the idiots in the snow (her words). The poor dear has no heat in her truck so she says the snow sticks instantly to the back window and she can't see a thing behind her. And the back road is apparently still closed with firetrucks and stuff - I can't wait to see whose oversized house burnt down over there.

Man the snow started and the roads were covered within 5 minutes out here in Restonia. Whatever pavement they used for the road that goes right next to the Town Center (the one all the buses take where the bus station is) really holds the snow and does not let it melt with exhaust like the other roads seem to do.

I like the Josh Wolff pickup. Sue me.

Just saw a tweet from Loudoun County warning me about my little road, Loudoun Orchard, and a few others nearby being blocked due to a house fire. Lisa reports that it is back open again and the only hint something ever happened is one big un-snowy spot on the side of the road where the firetrucks must have been. She did not see any smoking pile of ashes or anything. I'm still not 100% sure where the actual fire was and it'll be dark be the time I drive by after work.

She also said the roads are a complete and total mess, so be careful out there!

It's snowing in Baltimore. I could probably arrange to leave early, but the roads probably need to be treated and it might actually be a little easier in the afternoon.

Plus, if I leave later and take a long time to get home, it means less time with my wife's Mom and stepfather (and possibly the crazy psuedo brother-in-law) since they are coming to see the kid's holiday choral concert tonight.

He's out of my jurisdiction.

Just took a walk over to the Botanic Gardens and the Capitol and took a few pictures that I uploaded to the Facebooks.

I love snow in DC. But the traffic is gonna suck.

This is a gorgeous snow, although my day has started out too rushed to enjoy it much.
