While stats don't tell the complete story, lets look at a quick comparison


Goals: Vela 12-15 Griezmann
Shots: Vela 64-90 Griezmann
Assist: Vela 9-3- Griezmann

I'd say Vela has the upper hand in this comparison

 

You are clearly biased, while griezman is having a great season the better player is vela. Griezman has the upper hand in age and being French.

 

And of those 15 goals, how many were Vela assists?

 

You clearly haven't seen him play against big teams were he is more likely to assist than score. He makes the plays and moves the ball. Perfect example is the Barcelona games where he only had one assist. And griezman had 1 goal and 1 assist yet everyone acknowledged vela was the player of the game. You must be trolling because none of your arguments have any basis. And the whole big clubs are after him argument are also petty. But alas troll away my little troll.

What is see from Griezmann is a very consistent player who plays less, on average, than Vela.

Again, this whole 'Griezmann is French so he has the upper hand' is bs when Vela has a Euro passport. What don't you understand about that?

 

You know what jumps out to me from that link you posted? That Griezmann gets subbed out a lot while Vela goes 90 minutes in just about every game

You think Griezmann is better, a lot of us don't. That's fine. However, your argument about Vela only being a stat padder who only performs against smaller clubs is pretty trollish. As i stated above, he's got roughly the same number of goals on less shots plus has a lot more assist.

 

Because he is not tired from playing/traveling with his national team? Possible? No?

Pls stop already dawg. Inb4 1 highlight video doesn't prove anything. Go watch other vids and tell me this cat isn't the reference point for this team. You will realize that Griezmann's success comes from the fact that besides him being a great striker, Real Sociedad play as a TEAM. A team in which, again, Vela is a point of reference.

He's had bad games, but his good ones outshine those. And there's something to be said about the fact that the manager keeps him on in games when he subs Griezmann out, and that the fans think he is already a legend for the club.

 

As for the comment about Manure/PSG/Arsenal being interested in Griezmann, it's only a matter of time before rumors start pouring in about big teams chasing Vela..

 

Too bad I don't get as exited about vela's goals..
