Vela is easily a far better player than Gio, Marco, and Oribe. I don't see why anyone would be against that, especially him since that's the role he plays in Real Sociedad. Of course this doesn't touch the issue that Vela is not the coach to begin with; it's not his job nor his problem to decide how the team plays. He's not freaking Messi either as to actually demand the team start playing around his star power.
Disappointed but the NT will manage. Oh well, if he ever comes back cool but I'm not holding my breath. Don't think he's coming back under the current leadership.
Buena columna sobre su tiempo en el Salamanca: Vela no juega al fútbol en las calles, pero sí en los pabellones
To be fair you did say to a lesser extend, while its the right thing to do. That is all nice and fuzzy, but I disagree that he owes something, the fans aren't his boss or pay his salary, disrespect is another thing. I gotcha and I get your argument of his best course of actions is to say what's up, but again none of us know what is really happening and Vela is his own man. If he wants to play it the way he is that's him.
I'm not your reading comprehension teacher, nowhere in there it says "fans that invested"... and we disagree in a couple of things, firstly about him owing an explanation to them (as a public figure I feel yes, you feel no, cool). Secondly, fans are not his boss, but ultimately do pay part of his salary, his payroll dollars come from satisfied fans, whether they attend games, watch his games, simply buy shirts, or just purchase from his team's sponsors, that's in some part where the money comes from. No need for us to continue arguing, if you missed my point, that's OK, also OK if you see differently. (edit after reading what allegedly Chepo said) : That is amazing news and a step in the right direction, and for the most part covers his career and the rlationship with FMF, Chepo coming out and taking that posture does wonders with some fans for both him and Vela. I for one appreciate the comment from Chepo over crickets. /p
I posted before on how we've seen what Gio does with talent around him (TRI,olympics, etc) he's a beast. Mallorca BLOWS. There is only so much a creative playmaker can do with crap surrounding him. Vela is more of a goalscorer while Gio is more of a creator. Both are good players with high ceilings. I personally think Gio has the higher ceiling but we shall see.
I am not attacking vela or defending him, I believe he is a big boy and can make his own decisions good or bad and live with the consequences” this being getting band from the NT”. His choice we have to respect it, but I do believe he should explain his reason to kill the speculations. Cauz we might think him and chepo don’t like each other and weeks later we hear him and pep guardiola are talking.
Dude is lying about something....you can see it in his body language...also what's up with his fake wanna be Argie/Spanish accent? It's funny how quickly he "picked it up".
He looks soooo uncomfortable. There is something more to the story and it would benefit all if it just came out. I am not too crazy on him coming or not, his decision, but this roller coaster he's on with the NT is getting ridiculous.
I agree but unless you are trained in that shit and you work for the FBI, there is no way to know if he's lying.
His body language suggests he's uncomfortable. Anything more than that is your own inference. Lets get back on topic. Kthxbye.
If it really isn't because he hates Chepo, some theories would be 1. Security issues, maybe he has received threats from Mexico? 2. He's in the closet and the Mexican locker room is homophobic (although i swear i've seen him with some hot tail, and didn't he bring prostitutes to a party? ) 3. He just doesn't want to deal with the Mexican press( this would be stupid).
And this is exactly why it is better to be clear than to open doors for speculation. When left alone, more often than not, most people will assume much worse things than what is really going on. /p
