It was bound to happen really. "Mexico does not not have the luxury of not calling up players like Carlos Vela."

 

He doesn't have the luxury of balking at a NT callup either if he hopes to make the world cup squad.

Chepo said he didn't even consider him for the June WCQs and pre season with Real Sociedad was more important to his long term development than attending the Olympics.

We won gold without him so I don't understand the grudge.

 

Well I think with that we can stop these never ending discussions about how Vela is never getting called up again. We can talk about his silky skills.

He was so worried about a food preseason with la real he showed out of shape and overweight....

 

Nobody deserves a call up more than Vela, performance wise.

 

No excuse for him to turn it down on his end either. He is a consolidated and arguably the most important player on his team.

 

Agreed... its not like we are talking about some sh1tty 1 hit wonder like Nery Castillo... that fool was not worth all the drama... but Vela & El Tri will be bromancing a la Griezmann soon... this is just one of those couples that starts out a little rough but ends in bliss (and with a bunch of Brazilians crying )



P.S.... I am thinking Mexico has never lost in a tournament final against Brazil... anybody else can back this up? (Gold Cup, Confederations, Olympics, U-17)

Yup.. Andrade started a couple games in that tournament.

 

I still think that Ever Guzman was the best PURE finisher of that team, I thought he would explode for us....obsviously that didn't work out.

No.... but he got the pk and the Madrid keeper sent off.

That Madrid defense is shaky as shit too.... to bad so is Sociedad's
