FUUUUUU! I was getting bored of the game, so I switched to Barca - Getafe and Vela scores.

Sociedad ********ing sucks. As soon as they score, they bunker down.

    And This

Vela has been playing better than expected. And if he would get a chance at a better club i believe he would do the same. But Real Sociedad is giving him confidence and he should stay there for next season.

I doubt he'll stay in Real Sociedad. I think Arsenal would be dumb to not want him and Vela can definitely use that as leverage to get them to sell him to a better club for a good chunk of change.

Depending on when his contract with Arsenal expires, he may have a couple of options.

    1) Depending how many years he has left on his contract, they could extend the loan by a year. Not very likely at all but even less likely if he has less than 3 years remaining on his contract.

    2) Arsenal can agree to defer some of the transfer fee and split it up over 2 or more years so La Real wouldn't have to absorb the fee all at once. Again, I'm not sure how likely this is.

    3) Arsenal agrees to a sale at a reasonable price to Real Sociedad with a right of first refusal clause. Also they would probably insist on at least 20% (likely higher) of any future transfer fee in the event they don't buy him back and/or an appearance fee after a number of competitive matches (i.e. 2 million pounds after 100th club appearence)...

If La Real is as broke as people make them out to be, then the latter really is the only way they have a shot at keeping him...

This love-hate relationship he has with Chepo, I hope it continues, since I am sure it helps light the fire under his ass to display the talent we all know he has.

Hopefully a Spanish team buys him. The Spanish league is much better suited for Mexicanos.

    10 goals 7 assists

Only Messi,Ronaldo, and Vela have scored 10 goals or more, with 7 assists or more :)

Vela has also contributed in 44% of Real Sociadads goals, that is tops in La Liga, Messi has accounted for 42% of Barcelonas Goals, and Ronaldo has accounted for 37% of Real Madrids goals.

That sounds impressive, but lets not get crazy here.. if he scores 27 more goals we can compare him with the likes of Messi and R7..

I mean, If i play for a shitty team that has only scored 1 goal all season, and i scored it, I account for 100% of my teams goals.. yay me..

I'm not saying he's better, obviously Messi and Ronaldo are in a league of their own.

It's just an interesting little stat ;)

i think it's more a reflection of how he's the focal point of the offense.

it's nice to see him back on his feet, and i'm sure he appreciates the opportunity in donostia, but i wish he can move to a bigger club and perform like this on a bigger stage.

Might be difficult given that a bigger club might want him as a back-up and not the focal point of their attack. But I don't see how he couldn't perform like this or even better since that club would basically be competing against the same opponents he is now and he would have a lot better players on his team.

His only enemy is a manager not giving him a shot..... cause skill he has.
