Oscar did stay back but Ivan didn't do his job.

Yes hoofed it out from a freekick. Just giving the ball back to Leeds going for 40 yard crossfield passes when a simple ball to maintain possession would suffice.

How many crosses has he missed tongiht? I am more worried about his defensive capabilities. He is still a little....naive. I think he can be fine going forward. He is a decent crosser of the ball but he does need a little infusion of offensive nonce.

Maybe you mean't to say "can't"?? But the idea with Moses on the left is for him to drift inside to go between the LB and CB and to have the inside left channel open up for a pass, with the CAM providing a dummy. Neither Oscar or Lamps were playing that pass. And you know that defenders can provide a creative pass, it's ridiculous to think they can't help the attack.

Bertie's not the problem with this side atm. Midfielders who give the ball away too easily and a forward who can't keep it 3/4 of the time are more to the point :(

He's been badly exposed on set-pieces.

it also has to be said that Torres has been awful tonight. he's offered nothing going forward, he dribbles directly into defenders, and his first touch takes the ball away from him far too often.

if the rumor that danny is headed to liverpool in january is true then that is very, very troubling.

It was a reply to Bertrand being adequate cover for A.Cole. It would be happier if he had a bit more gusto in attack and provide an outlet because he is a solid crosser and has good pace, dribbling and strength, and yet his linkup play and attacking play is severely subdued.

No, I understand that mate. I'm just saying we've got problems that are more substantial and immediate than a spare left back whose not as good as a fella who's historically been one of the best in Europe. That's all.

Not up for defending much, but has looked clever going forward.
