Re: jikki Maybe it's just me but the first thing that comes to mind when I see America struggle isn't the ethnic backgrounds of the players involved.
I'm tempted to tell the Canadians to go enjoy this win on their own board, but I guess I can understand their enthusiasm considering that this is the biggest soccer match they'll win for the next decade.
Good lord yes. It's like their Super Bowl just happened. Takes away from the kudos we were rightfully giving them.
I will say that Canadians are nicer than most Americans though It has to be that feel good feeling when we pull out the better than anyone else argument when something bad happens here. Sidney Crosby has something to say about that.
Not really, just this one guy. I thought that most of the Canadian posters have been fine. What some U.S. fans seem to want is an apology for Canada having beaten us.
Boyd worse than Bunbury? You need to open your eyes because Bunbury has been terrible since January. How could of Boyd scored if the Midfield was giving the ball away too many times.
Re: jikki I think the point is that our soccer development is so poor that most of our best prospects come from unusual circumstances, such as having one foreign parent or being recent immigrants from other nations where soccer is popular. It's not a knock on ethnic backgrounds. It's a knock on our piss poor ability to find and cultivate talent. In a nation of 300+ million, our youth teams have struggled to scrape together 11 decent starters. That's a concern.
