Terry and Cech out for the rest of the season.

It was pretty much a given that the ban had to be suspended. Considering Barca's desperation to get two summers worth of transfers done, I'm hoping every team demands ridiculous fees for anyone they pursue. I'd also put a move for Cesc back on the table, if for no other reason, than to prevent him joining Manutd. If he doesn't leave now, he likely won't be able to leave until 2016 (no chance they sell him when they can't replace him), and by then he might not be worth very much with his contract running down.

I bet if a minnow-team faced the same ban, they would not lift or suspend it.

It's an innocent until proven guilty thing. They could succeed with their appeal, but could end up serving the punishment anyway, as a verdict likely won't be reached for a few months. Any club would get the ban suspended pending the outcome of the appeal.

I half expect Jose to field a half reserve side against Liverpool - just to piss everyone off.

The commissioner needs to come down hard on and if you does that. David Stern where are you before you retire? :)

I hope Mourinho does do that. It's not like the FA want to give teams that play in Europe a break. They screw us, we screw them. Done deal.

It's a due process of law thing, not a FIFA is bent thing: judgments are routinely stayed while appeals are pending.

Do you mean to piss all the Chelsea fans off. The outrage wouldn't go beyond City and the Chelsea fan base.

That looked rather easy for Madrid. Looks like all that possession lulled the Bayern defense to sleep.

BTW, I never noticed how grey Schweins hair is.
