I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to SA and though the football has generally been pretty good we all know the goals per game ratio is poor. However in our 5 games we got only 7 goals so was anyone lower than this or indeed dramatically higher?

I guess the average is what... 2.2 now? Which is pretty close to what it was four years ago. I think the way the tournament has gone though, the first round of fixtures in the group stage were extremely low scoring and everything after that has generally been quite good, so if you missed the first week of the tournament you'd have a lot better a time of it.

Personally, I went to 6 games and saw 17 goals, but that included a 0-0 (France vs Uruguay).

My average was 2.09. 23 goals in 11 games but 3 of those games were scoreless draws.

20 goals over 7 matches = 2.85 per match ... The semi in Durban bought the average down!!!

Would have preferred 0-1 in match 19:p for an average of 2.33

    3.5!

OK, so counting the penalty shoot-out is cheating. It's 2.4 then, 17 goals (plus 8 penalties) in 7 games.

Well mine is now 3 goals per game.

    18 goals in 6 games.

Don't have tix for final so will probably stay at that.

I had 15 goals in 9 games. 1.66 goals per game. This was only brought up by the 3-2 in the Uruguay semi final (and I missed two of the goals!!). I had three 0-0 games!
