Nor will he improve his rhetorical ability on Big Soccer... Well, Stoke was a never a great footballing fit for Edu, although it prolly do not hurt the wallet.
That's an interesting point. In my training I did get very anxious doing a procedure when my boss was next to me but on my own, I felt much more relaxed and probably did a better job. It is the way it should be though, with the old weathered leathery Boca taking his apprentice under his wing as GCam learns his craft.
I thought i made it clear that it was stupid because he would have no chance to improve on his weakness.... I never stated that specifically but it should have been obvious
Well, not playing is not going to help him improve on his weakness either. And a longtime professional with a lot of playing in two different leagues, the World Cup, the Con fed cup, etc. etc. is fairly well baked. While he is certainly capable of incremental increases in technique and vision etc. at this point the conversation is less about what can Stoke do for Edu and more what can Edu do for Stoke.
when did this item about Edu having no technical ability start? Maybe I did not get the memo. I think he is pretty good technically
I still think he could improve his comfort on the ball under pressure immensely like Bradley has done in the last few years though not to the extent Bradley has.
No doubt he can - he does have a bit of bad habit of dribbling to nowhere in the defensive end once or twice a game, but at 26, after 150 - 200 professional games, playing everyone from Brazil to Man U from the CL to the WC, he's fairly well baked. I think Bradley has improved as much if not more in confidence/tactical sense as technical skill. Certainly Edu could do better there as well. But I also think he'll get his shot at Stoke - probably as a result of injuries, since their form, while not world beating has to be ok by Pulis and co. If they fall off a cliff or someone gets hurt, Edu will probably get some minutes. He is good enough to help this team, but not so good he can change it. At this point it will be whether he gets the chance.
There's a big difference in the two situations you're talking about: your boss can fire you (and hence ******** your life up) but your fellow player can't.
Ive been thinking this. It wouldnt surprise me. After all, the ball he played in the air to create one of those goals in Russia, for me, was a pleasant surprise. He probably has been working on that.
