You're spot on. He's been bad per se, but hes not been as good. He's more prone to errors recentley. I think you're right about the cover in front of him. Since January, hes had Odemwingie, who's a much more forward thinking and less selfless player than Walters. Odemwingie himself said that he was having to adapt to tracking back since he joined us. Without Walters, Geoff has been a little more exposed, so his positioning mistakes are more noticeable.
Geoff is our only Premier League standard right back. Wilkinson is useless, and a walking yellow card
Just watched first half. Chelsea obviously the better team and putting lotsfof pressure on Geoff. He's holding his own defensively. I still am not happy with his turnovers, notably on the 30' when he comes out of his box with the ball on a huge counter, but for some reason puts a lazy ball out to the right, easily intercepted.
And went to watch 2nd half but........ They never had a chance this game, partly they went with palacios so they wetter going to never take the game to Chelsea. Palacios sucked, they missed ireland controlling the play. Oh well.
and it apparently was an injury. stay tuned. any of us might get a call up at CB. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/americ...HEyNGMxBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkA1VJQzFfMQ--
