I'm excited by what you are doing in Camden. I've started a similar youth soccer program in Kensington called the Kensington Soccer Club, but we don't yet have your track record. Any tips for someone trying to grow a soccer program in a community with very few resources and not much traditional interest in soccer? I read one of the articles on your website and I'm also interested if you still get the sponsorship dollars that you got when you started up. You can see info on our organization and program at: www.kensingtonsoccer.org www.facebook.com/kensingtonsoccerclub Thanks!
Mid-summer Bump. Just as an early mention - our season is starting on the 24th of September, with the 2 weeks before that being used for field prep and registration (10th and 17th). As always, like any other club we are always looking for :- 1) Kids 2) Volunteers 3) Sponsorship/donations. If you are looking to help out somewhere - it is a great place to do so etc etc. If you need more information - give me a shout/pm/whatever. #DOOPinCYSC
A Bump for the eve of our Fall Program. AS last post mentioned, Field Prep and registration starts this Saturday. If anyone wants more information - or wants to help out in any way - you can get in touch with me. #DOOPworthyCause
Bump. We had a decent enough first week last week, got quite a bit done (which considering how wet it was, it was a miracle). Still 1 more week of registration and field prep to go, and then the season starts. #DOOPworthyCause
After 3 weeks of being away, i can bumpity bump for this week. Hope to see people there. #DOOP right after too.
Bump - no Roger Torres this week, and no Philly Soccer Page people either (thanks to those involved in organising it all). However, we still have our normal coaching on Saturday, from 10-12 for those that want to pop over and help out.
Last week of the season is this Saturday - so if you wanted to come along then this is your last chance in 2011. Hope to see many there.
First post of 2012 - and i'd like to start off by saying Thanks to each and every one of you who helped out in any way during our Turbulent winter (well, Turbulent February/March). We had our first day of CLeanup/Field Prep/Registration yesterday, and it went well. We had the most people registered in week 1 than any other season - so hopefully that means we'll get a bumper year. That of course means we will need more coaches etc - so if you want to come along and help out, we are at Pyne Poynt Park every Saturday from 9.30-12.30ish until mid-June. Hope to see some of you there. Thanks.
Bumpity Bump. So- all this issues regarding Nowak in the last week comes out again - do you think you can do better? Why not show us, and start off by Coaching at Pyne Poynt Park - 9.30am-12.30am Tomorrow morning. No Union game to think about, and beautiful weather, there's no better time to try out.
Fall season starts soon - and we have decided on our "Schedule" - as follows. We are always on the look out for help, be it coaching, setting up or doing registration. This season we are still at Pyne Poynt Park in North Camden (if you need directions give me a shout). We have:- Field Prep - September 8th 10am-Midday Field Prep and Registration - September 15th 10am-Midday Week 1 - September 22nd 10am-Midday (every Saturday, Same times) Final Week - November 17th - 10am - Midday Hope to see some of you there.
