I can understand that. Televisa makes loads of money, but Chava should tread carefully and not burn his bridges. Maybe Cabanas can be given a silly post with Club America paying some money.
I mean given his condition, and how he had a brain injury, he will never function the same it seems. I doubt he'd be much useful in an office enviroment, or even as a representative for the team. Doesnt he have trouble speaking castellano as a result of the damage?
Maann what's up with all the Cabanias hate?? it's not like he is trying to bankrupt the Club, also it's probably not even him, the few times he appeared in public you can tell the guy is not all there, he has the demeanor of a 10 year old kid so basically he is done at 30 years old he is done and not just in football but as the provider of his family and to tell you the truth I'm pretty sure he will be dead broke within 5 years or less the rehab clinic is beyond expensive. I think America did the right thing by him, they payed what the law in Mexico says , but in the other hand the President of the club jumped up and said after the incident that "Club America will respect his contract" those were his words, even after all the facts were known, so even if you disagree with Cabanias family for trying to get payed for 3 more months now that people still remember him , I don't understand why would people treat him like like he was a low life, when his family (not even him) is just doing what anybody else would do to provide the future of their kids.
those 3 extra months that his rep. claimed were not paid were a lie...Bauer said that they have yet to miss a payment on anything...salary, payment for rehab, and hospital bills... more than enough...his rep is a piece of shit..something we know even from before the incident...trying to threat the club about Chava already having an agreement with Sunderland when CA hadnt even received a formal offer...likie all managers he's just another opportunist trying to take advantage of the situation and chava...but for his wife to come out and say the same thing..is fkn cynical.

I want to think that America would have a clause in the player's contracts in case of non work related injuries. Surely they are not that stupid as to not cover their own asses. If they don't, pay up.
Chava hasn't been working so the law is on America's side, America could probably terminate his contract under local law if they wanted to since he hasn't been in coapa since the incident. We love Chava but his agent needs to settle down.
