Cant wait for this new bundesliga season to start. The squad is still really strong and even more experienced . Especially since Reus replaced Kagawa. Cant wait to see how he performs. Cant wait to see how we do in CL. Hopefully Robert keeps up his scoring. So much to look forward to.

Yea, I made a mistake. I ordered some BVB swag off the club shop today, and now my excitement is so high for the season to start I can't stand it! I ordered a new Reus kit.

It Will Not Be Easy For Dortmund To Win Third Consecutive Title - Klopp

After BVB claimed back-to-back German titles, their trainer has admitted that it will be difficult to make it three in a row as fans' expectations continue to grow

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has conceded that there is "no chance" his side will have an easy task in their bid to win another Bundesliga title.

The Westfalenstadion side have won back-to-back league crowns, and their trainer confessed that the fans' expectancy is growing ahead of the 2012-13 campaign after setting the benchmark over the last two years.

Klopp Impressed By New Acquisition Reus

The coach has lauded the 23-year-old's performances in Poland and Ukraine, and defended the €17m transfer fee that was paid to secure his services

Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight at Marco Reus' Euro 2012 outings with Germany, and stated that the price he paid to bring him to Borussia Dortmund is fully justified.

    *

    *

    *

Asked what his stance was regarding the €17 million fee that BVB had to pay in order to prise him away from his former club - the highest fee ever received by Monchengladbach - Klopp was stoical.

"In football there is only one principle, and that is not based on transfer fees, but on performances. We have paid €17m for him and he is worth the money."

Borussia Dortmund To Give Amini Time

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says the club will be patient with Australian signing Mustafa Amini, playing down comparisons between he and Shinji Kagawa.

Amini signed for the Bundesliga champions 12 months ago, but remained with A-League outfit the Central Coast Mariners on loan.

Zorc moved quickly to temper suggestions Amini is being viewed by the club as a direct replacement for Kagawa, who secured a move to Manchester United earlier this summer.

Dortmund Captain Kehl: Bayern Is Still Number One In Germany

The 32-year old skipper believes his team still plays second fiddle to the Bavarians despite BVB’s two consecutive titles and victory in the German Cup Final.

Borussia Dortmund captain Sebastian Kehl has insisted that Bayern Munich are the best team in Germany, despite his side's back-to-back Bundesliga titles.

The 32-year-old has conceded that die Roten are the biggest in the country, but asserted his belief that BVB are making huge strides on and off the pitch.

"The fact remains that the Bavarians are number one in Germany," he told Kicker. "We have been making big steps to them athletically and financially, though.

"In the past few years we have let our talking be done on the pitch. But, nevertheless, a realistic goal for us this year is to once again qualify for the Champions League."

17M is nothing these days ( which is pretty sad)
If Reus was Brazilian/Argentinian or from somewhere exotic like that, he would cost 40M. Alexis Sanchez went to Barca for 40M and I believe Reus is around his level. It is an absolute steal from BVB's point of view no doubt about it. Gladbach made a big mistake with the buy-out clause.

Many times, agents won't allow their players to sign contracts without buyout clauses.

It is simple for the clubs. Agree to the buyout clause or don't sign the player.

I think Gladbach probably feels it was well worth it to sign Reus and get 17M plus a season of CL football and that potential money out of the deal.

But hey, since you said they made a "mistake", they really must have........... ;)

And by the way, in Germany, 17M is still "something." I believe in German club to German club transfers, that's third-highest after Gomez and Neuer's transfers.

Dortmund's Jakub Blaszcykowski (Kuba) is in demand on the international transfer market. According to Kuba's agent, they are considering offers from clubs including Liverpool, Nazio and Inter Milan. What do you think? Should Kuba stay in Dortmund or would he benefit from a transfer??

Tough one. I think last season he found his form and his fire...but I also think it was because he was "needed" and had to step up his game; and he did. Will he wither again if he is relegated back to the bench? Should we cash in on him now that he is "hot"?? Tough call.

However, as you mentioned, he is on the last year of his contract. I would leab toward selling him.

I would still like to see Leitner and Gundugan play further up field as well. As several stated, I don't think we will suffer too much without Kuba but he'll be missed by me. Good squad player for us but if he wants more playing time, he may need to head on out.

You slag me off when I dont have any proof to back up my argument but now you want me to take your opinion as a fact ? ...... yeah right
Also, when we were arguing about Sahin before, you said that ''when Sahin signed the contract with the buyout clause, he wasnt worth 10M and didnt look like he would ever be worth 10M''. So you change your tune about this case. I wonder why? Why couldnt that apply to Reus ? Something similar could have happened.Gladbach didnt expect him to become this good and at the time 18M looked high enough(by German standards it is). In hingsight, the value of the buyout clause should have been higher. But hey, they have made a mistake worth only 5-10M.

Sometimes you can be so fugging silly.......

My comments used the words, "I think" and "probably".

In no way do those words mean you have to take what I'm saying as "fact." On the contrary. It is just is a differing opinion to CONSIDER!

But when you want to be a whiny little beyoatch, I guess you just take it any which way you want........

I haven't "changed my tune" about anything. You don't get to tell me what the hell I'm saying or what I did say. You're trying to act as if the Sahin and Reus situations were exactly the same. They were not. They were two different situations.

Sahin was seen as one of the game's next great players when he first came up. However, Sahin started to show he was more than likely going to fail. No one was even looking at him as a "prodigy" anymore. And when you look at the type of player Sahin was expected to become when he first came up versus the player he did become, HE DID FAIL! Sahin's agent wanted that buyout clause in case things turned around and BVB agreed. They had no reason not to! And as much as you can bitch and moan about that in HINDSIGHT, he still hasn't even lived up to that "low" buyout. He might, but he hasn't yet..........

Marco Reus, on the other hand, showed he was going to be very good at Ahlen and they'd already turned down offers from other big clubs for Marco to develop at Gladbach. Like Sahin, Reus' buyout clause wasn't part of his original contract, but his extension. The extension that surprised everyone as people thought after a couple years of development, Reus would simply move on to Bayern, Dortmund or Leverkusen. So f#ck yeah, I'm just about certain Reus was never staying with Gladbach without that buyout clause. People knew he was going to be pretty f'in good and it insured he could leave when he decided he had the right offer.

Which brings me to another thing even you seem to admit with your final sentence. You only call it a "mistake" in HINDSIGHT! Wow. That takes a lot of thinking and knowledge, doesn't it?? And does that really make it a "mistake?" How can someone make a "mistake" without the information necessary to make a "better" decision??

Again, that 17M is still the third highest German club to German club transfer in history. It is the highest one not involving Bayern. Factor in that Reus wasn't leaving Germany yet (he'd said that himself) and what the hell would you think???!!

And I did all that with FACTS, not HINDSIGHT!

If you still don't get that differences, that's on you. Bitch on if you like.

For the rest of you, I think it was great of Reus to do Gladbach that favor of extending with them and making sure they would be taken care of financially when he decided to leave. I believe much of this was borne of the genuine respect he'd developed for their club and definitely their fans. I'm happy to have a player of such character at BVB.
