I think since false 9 worked nicely vs Hertha we could give it another chance

Boateng-Martinez to start in defence because they will play against United. I would play Ribery and Robben again both for 45 minutes each similar like against Hertha, rest Lahm, Kroos and Alaba, play Schweini for 50/60 minutes.

    Rafinha-Martinez-Boateng-Contento
    ----------------Schweini
    -------Thiago-------------Gotze-
    Shaqiri-----------------------------Ribery
    ----------------Mandzo
subs Robben for Ribery, Hojbjerg for Schweini.

    against Manchester

    Lahm-Martinez-Boateng-Alaba
    ------------Schweini
    -------Thiago--------Kroos
    Robben----------------------Ribery
    -------------Muller/Mandzo

or maybe more defensive midfield with a Lahm,Schweini.Kroos/Thiago trio

Interesting fact about Hoffenheim - They have scored 60 goals (only 19 fewer than us and 2nd best in the BL) but they have the worse defense, giving up 59. In other words, easy win!

    Against ManU:

    Rafinha---Martinez---Boateng---Alaba
    -----------------Lahm--------------------
    ----------Schweini---Kroos---------------
    Robben--------Mueller------------Ribery

That's our most flexible, and unpredictable line-up. This would allow us to gain complete control over the midfield and press like crazy. We don't need to play tons of crosses in this match, because their CDs will eat those up all night.

Bring on Goetze and Mandzukic on in the second half once their players are worn out from chasing the ball for 60 minutes.

I don't like that line-up since it means Mandzu will start vs United. After the Arsenal tie, I really hope Muller starts over him (and Goetze) in the striker position.

Agree. The line-up I posted was used in our best CL match of the season. The annihilation of ManCity away.

A lady friend of mine actually asked if we still had to play anymore games since it was mathematically assured that we would win the league. :p

Ironically Hoffenheim played their best defensive game against Bayern in the first half of the season. We only won 1-0 or 2-1 if I recall correctly.

Let's hope the return game will be more entertaining.

Hmm I don't think Pep will leave out Thiago, so him for either Rafinha or Kroos. I can also see Mandzu starting to give us more physical presence on both ends.

We can't have midfield of piggy Kroos without thiago..

Plus I don't want to see rafhina in our remaining CL games... Sorry he's the most liable one on from our back four..

I am not going to watch us lose a tie cuz he can be a hot head..

That has always been true of Hoffenheim in recent years - they can score goals, particularly on the counter. I am not sure they will get those kinds of chances against Bayern given the precise possession, especially in midfield.

Both Højbjerg and Green are playing right now with Bayern II, so I guess we won't see them tomorrow.

I really don't know why people are so adamant now about Green or Hojberg. Green cooled down a lot in the 2nd team and hardly produces much in terms of goals or assists compared to the first half of the season. Secondly Bayern has the depth that requires much rotation already to keep all first team players happy and in form for the crucial games this year, so not much needed to force playing time for some youngsters
