I would have brained him, but would have got a Rot for my pains. Fair play to Robben for not taking the bait; it was the most sensible thing he did all evening.
We have always been on really good BL runs when we were in the CL. After week 7 of this season...well we're still unbeaten in the BL. Last season - very similar story. So if you're going by the CL comparison...you could say the midweek games may have made us even sharper for the BL. In other words, your argument has no concrete evidence behind it. What evidence is there points to a different possible outcome.
that was really classles...and stupid. I am glad robben didn't punch him the face like Ribery might do (or Badstuber) This game reminds me of 2010 WC final..when Robben missed 3 one on one with Casilles.
Um... he was manager last year, and 2011 Dortmund was better than this version. Dortmund got him fired.
Um what? Do you forget the team that...um....won the Bundesliga last season. With Nuri Sahin instead of a Gundogan?
Don't fall for it... his name was brought up out of the blue by someone who seems overly affected by his departure. Just let it be.
Yeah, and they later went on to get eliminated by sporting in the Europa, while being average in Europe all along. 8 points behind currently in EPL behind this year's lackluster ManU The only somewhat worthwhile opponent, but we weren't good in both games against them. Also went on to get eliminated by a crappy Chelsea side. See above for ManUtd I won't even go into discussion about the crappiness of Inter, nor of BvB in Europe. Wait till we get spanked by Real and we'll talk again later.
contgrats to Dortmund but i think that a draw would have been the fair result here nobody deserved to win neither Bayern nor Dortmund but that's football. Now let's rest players in the BL and wait for the CL. again congrats do Dortmund i hope they will play in CL next season like they play in the BL
Notes on both teams: * Bayern got more potential. Dortmund utilized theirs. * Bayern's playing was "reactive" to Dortmund. The latter were very organized with hard-fought action, near full attention, and less mistakes -- the opposite was characteristic to Bayern's way of playing. * Dortmund was leading while realizing Bayern's strengths and weaknesses whereas Bayern followed the map drawn, trapped themselves, and kept on doing the obvious -- and it wasn't difficult to grasp it by Dortmund. * Bayern sat there, kept the ball too much, and tried to break through in a way like if they were facing a non-competitive team whilst hoping that Dortmund would slack a bit, but that didn't happen much as they wanted.
Just a quick note to wish you guys all the best next Tuesday against Real. As a German team in European competition, I'll be cheering for you as hard as anyone. Hopefully when we meet again in Berlin you might be European champions. Best of luck.
Very exciting game, really crappy performance from us (except for Neuer, he was world class), especially Robben. Very disappointing and I honestly won't be sad to see him go, should he be released after this season. Dortmund deserved to win this one - but at least we're still in the CL, right?
Agree. I think individual talent is what is keeping mostly this team together, as our coach looks a bit tactically inept
Only David can keep up with their pace... Dortmund players are really physical, even Ribery can't outrun Subotic... We are too exhausted... The race for the bundes is over, we should totally rest all our squad for the semis, we still have the CL and the cup.
we can easily lose the next year BL knowing that this summer is football summer so if we start sucking in August,September we will see the same excuse from our FO how the players are tired blabla
