Great flick on from Kroos (was it?) on that play to free Mueller in behind the backline.
Awesome move by Mueller to freeze keeper.

Carbon copy of Mandzukic's opening goal last week.

I actually agree. Kroos has been sent to turf more than any other player today for 1, but secondly, Robben will add amazing pace down wing and free Mueller to lurk in the hole behind Mario1 or Mario2

I know this may seem redundant, but I hope Gomez gets 30 minutes here. I genuinely don't remember Mandzukic doing anything so far and even though that's also Gomez's memo, hoping he gets a decent amount of minutes.

If Heynckes is going to use last minute subs however, don't use high caliber ones but put someone like Gustavo in.

    Halftime.

Ugly game, lots of wounds to lick.
Time to use that bench of ours, but unfortunately, the game is very much in the balance still, and judging from Jupp's comments last week - he isn't about to change anything that is working while trying to gain points on the road.

Still, I would introduce one at the break - Gomez or Robben preferably.

    Well said.

I think this is the type of game where you get players some opportunities if for no other reason than it gives Mainz someone else to punch. Keep players fresh, injury free.

Mandzukic hasn't had much to work with, but he had been excellent in defense.
I personally would like to see Gomez come on at the break.
Then introduce Robben immediately after Bayern score a 2nd which I could see happening inside the opening 15 minutes of the 2nd half.

    Thomas Müller = Genius

Once again Mandzukic playing like crap ... Let's see if he step up in the 2nd half like he did last week ...

The way things are going, I just can't see how Robben will take Müller's place in the starting XI ... But then again, I just can't see how Gomez isn't a starter already ...
