So far my prediction has come true.... defensive shape has kept the game to a minimum, now I expect some power-house substitutions to promote the attack and finish this off in the next 45 minutes. Hopefully that is.... !!!!
Alaba has made more meaningful attacking plays. It is not a matter of service either, Bayern's possession has been superior to Stuttgart's. But yes, Stuttgart are playing very well, compact, limiting the options to play out to, and forcing Bayern to play all sorts of longballs because their movement in midfield in finding space has been woeful. If there's one thing I'd like to see Pep improve, it is improving off-the-ball movement to find space, constantly making yourself available for the pass. THAT's tiki-Taka, not this. Notice how many longballs Schweinsteiger and co. have had to make because no one else was available in midfield?

The defensive pressure has paid off. Actually been rewarded. If there was no pressure on the flank, the Stuttgart would not have felt the need to make such a pass. If the were no pressure on the keeper/last back, the goal would not have been scored.
