I think that, as this is a mid-week game, in the players subconscious, this is a CL game ...

PS: And we score... 3pts/awful game ...

Ribery turned into worse than Robben 2 years ago tonight.

Sh*tty game, but a win nonetheless.

That should have been a goal.
To his defense, he's had a frustrating night. Most of the times he was in a promising position, there was no one to pass to.
3 points, a 11 points lead in the table, the job's been done

Shitty is an understatement...says it all...my Franziskaner was the best of the entire evening. What an eyesore this game was.

Well that's just about the ugliest 2-0 I've ever seen.

Bayern played too slow, too many back passes IMO.

The ref got the big calls correct, even from a neutral point of view.

The linesman did also wrongly call Kroos offside when he was clean in on goal, but all the opposing fans will surely have amnesia about that one. ;)

Dante and Neuer deserve credit for a good game, but the rest of the team had a snoozer.

Only caught the last 30 minutes....

Judging by the whistles and jeers Franck Ribery got every time he touched the ball, I am going to assume that either the penalty awarded or red-card given he had a hand in???

Having said that, I thought Ribery actually showed a touch of class by NOT purposely scoring at the end. It seemed obvious to me that he was intentionally (a) not shooting once he had keeper beat, (b) not backheeling the ball then to a wide open Pizarro, and (c) continued dribbling to endline when there was no need and could have slotted home the shot.

I mean seriously, given the season this guy is having, do you really think he could not have finished on any one of those chances?

I choose to believe he intentionally didn't score because of the jeers.

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it God-awful weather? Freiburg looks like a very tight environment as well - fans right on top of the action - EPL style.

Crappy or not, the win is ALL that matters. Keep in mind the stretch of games we are having.
It is literally about securing passage to the next round (Valencia), or taking advantage of other teams slip ups in the Bundeslige (Freiburg).

Then it will be about securing the top spot in the CL group phase (Bate), and hopefully pay-back on many levels against BVB.

We are simply trying to get to Winter Break with the least amount of injuries and the most amount of success. The play is going to deteriorate due to the amount of games, limited rest, lack of flexibility due to player selection, weather, competition fighting to stay alive, and opposition's preparation and coaching.

Adele is wrong, you can't have it all mates. Can't have it all.

    Dead serious.

It didn't dawn on me until I saw him beat the keeper the 2nd time. I could be wrong, but that late in the game, what good would it do?

The hilariety of it is we are talking about one Franck Ribery here. LOL. Who am I kidding!
