Kroos without doubt one of the world's best two footed strikers of the ball.

Great goal from Kroos... superb combination with Ribery.
    Game in the bag.

    Martinez >> Gustavo

Eissman can go back to raking leaves that I stopped doing at 12:30! :D

LOL. Until the announcer (in some random foreign language) mentioned Gustavo's name in the 40th minute, I hadn't realized he was even on the pitch! I guess that is due to it seeming like Alaba is everywhere.

I think the team has played extremely well. They tried various ways to breakdown the HSV backline on the slippery pitch, built up to a crescendo just prior to the goal with a handful of really good opportunities, then looked dominant from that point on.

Mueller's role to me is "floater".... he is what we call in basketball a "slasher", someone that sneaks in diagonally often... (ie. Scottie Pippen, Chicago Bulls, circa 1990-96).

Seriously who likes to be subbed out when you're playing such a great second half?

I think you may see Shaq soon... for Ribery most likely.

Gotta say.... the team really does look rested.

I speaks volumes in their play.

    The opposition. :D

But seriously we do have a game coming up mid-week so why risk it? Plus you get the added bonus of helping new and fringe players get a run with the starters.

The first change I'm anticipating (after Gustavo who looked slightly injured) is Pizarro for Mandzukic. The Croatian looked mostly disappointing and Pizarro did well against Kaiserslautern.

I would agree with that. Sub both wings or Pizarro/Mandzukic and a wing.

Well the yellow was unnecessary because the mistake before the counter attack was after an unnecessary error. I think Martinez made the right decision here. Rather take his first yellow of the season than allowing Son a 1 on 1 against Dante 25m in front of goal.
