Claude Makelele has almost nothing to show in terms of statistics in his career, except for appearences. But he still is considered one of the best Holding Midfielders ever. You can't measure everyone's worth with goals scored. Martinez is quite young, still has a lot of experience in La Liga. If he still plays like this next season, thats a different matter; but right now, people need to have some patience. All that 40M wasn't for this season alone
