Baker Street Pub won't play the sound for the game. We've tried with them already. I'm not trying to knock it - just don't want people angry. Did they tell you they'd play the sound for the match? The kick off is early - so maybe?
Yes, they have agreed to play sound for the game on one side of the pub. We wouldn't announce a viewing party there if they were not prepared to.
From a Timbers supporter, I know this is way way late and now irrelevant (I recently got regular internet access). It may not even be the place to post this message, but thank you all sincerely for a warm reception at our opener in Commerce back in March. Your team ran us off the park, and rightfully so, but my wife and I experienced nothing but hospitality during our time there. The BBQ outside the stadium was a highlight of the trip. You guys are a class act all around, please win the CCL. Much respect.
FYI Baker Street Pub failed us as Rapids supporters....BSG and PA alike.......no sound....Broncos pre-season is apparently more important. Baker Street Pub is a farce!
Actually the Baker street pub didn't fail us or make any false promises. They always said that the Broncos & CU football was likely to supersede the Rapids on sound. We have gone with them as apart from last night, the Rapids don't clash. We will climb the pecking order when we have built a consistent loyal presence of Rapids / soccer fans there. Please consider the effect that posting negative stuff will have on us achieving this aim.
