Lets say we win the next gold cup. The next confederations cup will have 2 UEFA teams and 2 CONMEBOL teams. We'll definately have it harder than the nads if we do win the gc but hopefully they'll upset some big name teams.

Copa America Winner or 2nd place: Argentina/Uruguay
CAF: Ghana/Ivory Coast
AFC: Japan
OFC: New Zealand

 

That confeds will be similar to the one in Germany, two european teams(Germany and Greece), two south americans(Brazil and Argentina) plus the rest, but the up coming one could be harder because the European champions will more than likely be a power house not a team like greece.

ahhhhhh this is one of my oldest memories... cuando apenas empece a ver futbol i wish we had more players like him or garcia aspe... they were so good at free kicks and long distance shots

 

Sadly, my most vivid memory of Aspe was his miss at the WC in 94

 

I still hold a grudge against all of the fools that missed their pk's. As great as they were, they couldn't handle the pressure.

 

I had a friend in 1986 who blames Hugo for not winning the WC quiniela. He had Mexico tying Belgium and beating Paraguay. He was somewhat ok with the winning goal vs Belgium, but was furious over the missed penalty vs Paraguay.

I still blame Bravo's missed penalty on Lavolpe. What was he thinking letting him kick it?

we had guys like Rafa, Pavel, and even Lucho Perez on the field that are excellent kickers when on the spot

anyway, i'm still pissed at Osorio for that blunder last year in giving the ball away to Higuain which led to the 2nd Argie goal. and i guess that guy wants a second chance on the NT. well i say, FUCK HIM!!! i don't want that tard on the NT anymore after that. especially when we've got guys like Guti, Aguilar, and Juarez who are playing at a better level than him right now.
