    Not sure if serious.

I'm guessing it might have something to do with the fact that those people arrived here prior to 2008 when the economy was better. Unless something changed and people no longer have to be legal residents for 5 years before being considered for naturalization.

It says that he is enforcing laws that those on the right said he would be soft on. But as Pern pointed out, he's deported more criminals and miscreants which is a good thing.

So why hasn't anyone on the right applauded him for his efforts?

you can speculate all you want, the numbers are there. You can not say the previous administration was against immigration.

It is a good thing, but is that really the issue at hand?

because the issue at hand is jobs, jobs, jobs.

I never said the previous administration was against immigration. I'm saying the current Republican party is against immigration. The Repugs didn't go completely batshit until 2010...

I don't look at just one issue. I look at several issues and on this one, he's done an admirable job.

It is one of many issues and one of many that I have zero confidence in Republicans to fix.

People don't like Obama because it's easier to blame one person (and because its very fashionable) but the biggest problem is Congress, specifically the House of Representatives. Look at the approval ratings for the President and for each House of Congress.

I read this article on Breitbart, but decided to post the original source just to give it more veracity. We all know that Breitbart is persona-non-grata in the journo world. At one point, he was spectacular, he was a liberal contributer helping Arianna Huffington with her website, but as he grew older, he became wiser and more conservative....

All politics are local ... it's like RDL's view on the role of government, exactly.

The distortion caused by gov't meddling is bad news unless done in one's favor.
