I dedicate this thread to my kids who are FC Barcelona fans and thru them I somehow have learned to admire the club. FC Barcelona is an institution which best represents the region of Catalonia and it instills its culture into its fans and to some extend its politics. It's about time for a Barça thread. I was starting to think there were only madridista BSMXers on this website . In other news, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed the club have lodged a bid of over €40million with Valencia for striker David Villa.
Only reason why I follow this team. I couldn't care less about their promotion of Catalan identity and the whole us vs. the Franco regime mentality that seems to be a chip on their shoulder from a distant perspective. Hopefully Rafa has learned enough from watching Pep Guardiola in order to turn El Tri in the correct direction on the field. Rafa is the real coach IMO.
Apparently they do have a beisbol team. I know that many clubs in Europe are sport clubs and one entity has several teams in several sports. Examples would be Barca and Olympiakos. I had no idea they had beisbol. I thought it was universally reviled in Europe. http://www.bateando.com/

Its not... the WBC is organized by Major League Baseball... the world cup of baseball is organized by the International Baseball federation
