    From poster Lascho

The groups are pretty unbalanced FIFA ranking wise.
    Average ranking positions:

    A 31.25
    B 5.75
    C 9.75
    D 23.25

Why have seeding when shit teams like Poland and Ukraine end up in group 1?

I really adore this draw. Brings back Euro 2008 memories!

We have trouble with Portugal so that is a factor--although we are playing super over the last few yearsso it may not be

It could come down to 2 ties each for Portugal-Germany and Oranje--so whoever beats up Denmark the least does not go thru

Staying positive--there are no easy games so being one of the best teams it means we will need to be sharp from the outset and the quarter final game will be easier than our Germany or Portugal game

Ask UEFA; host country(s) automatically go in Pot 1.

It's a tradition innit, Holland ending up in tough groups at the Euros. I actually think this is a good thing. We always do well in the group stage and at least we won't get to play the Germans again till in the final.

Other thoughts about the draw: I wonder how much Russia paid UEFA.

Ending 2nd in group won't be the worse, in fact it may be for the better... That means avoiding Spain in semi-final, assuming they're topping group C and passing the Q.F round (which I think they will, rather easily).

But let's concentrate on getting points in group stage. Denmark up next!

Maybe we have trouble with Portugal, but Denmark has Portugal's number. There are funny dynamics in this group.

Eh, I checked it but the nr 2 of group B will play Spain in the half final if it will go as you say.

The tournament to me will be a success if we thrash the Portuguese, seriously. I hate that lot with a passion. Despicable football team.

Dont worry, Miguel isnt there anymore to shutdown Robben, and without Deco/Maniche Portugal has only average midfielders now.

Maniche hasn't been worth talking about for several years now.

I'm Dutch, my Wife is Portuguese, my little one is 1/2 and 1/2, she's going to be a helluva footballer.

I admit I cheer for both, the match will surely be an ackward one for me.

I hope by the time the match rolls around, things may very well be decided (if we beat Germany and the Danes), that way our fate is already decided.

No way Rolando makes the squad. He's pathetic. People forget this is a young core, but we got experience. The only downside is Postiga/Almeida - not to fond of them.

Good luck to Holland! Not gonna say anything bad. Just hope their is "fair play" and the refs let them play.

The good new is that we now have van der Wiel at the right side. However the Cannibal is still around in the selection, so who knows :p

Cut to the chase--the 4 best teams should make it to the semis

Neth--Germany--Spain and ?????---my guess--either Italy, France or Czech

the way its set right now if we end 2nd in our group we probably meet Spain in the semi-as they should win their group---check the set up

so we need to end in 1st ---we then meet either Spain or Germany in the final for our first really tough game--any other team in the semi is not on our level
