Defenders Wagenfuhr and Sutton try out with WPS Breakers Defensive pair Sarah Wagenfuhr (Colorado Springs, CO) and Erika Sutton (Arvada, Colorado) today traveled to Boston, MA to attend a two day try out with WPS franchise Boston Breakers. "It will be a great opportunity for Sarah and Erika to show Boston what they can offer, and is a mark of respect for the level of player we have here at Buffalo Flash," said Flash Head Coach Aaran Lines, "They are two of the many top class players we have on our roster and the Breakers' interest shows how players coming to play for us will be on everyone's radar. It rewards the excellent start to the season the team has had." I wonder what Ashley Nick is thinking....The Breakers calling up two of her Flash teammates before calling her back for another look... I say bring back Ashley...Maybe she can get A-Rod back on track!
I know a lot of the Chicago people were pretty high on Wagenfuhr when they had her earlier in the year. I remember seeing two or three positive comments about her play in their preseason games.
I see the Breakers waived Ariel Harris on Thursday. I guess they are ready to sign one of the other players.
I like what I saw from Sarah Wagenfuhr from the Red Stars pre-season and was disappointed when they released her. I remember reading about the draft and how the Red Stars were surprised and happy that she fell into their hands. That's why I was surprised that they let her go. She is good with the ball at her feet and very feisty from what I saw. I hope she makes it into the WPS.
I see she's on the roster but hasn't played in any of their three matches...Did she leave the team?? I'm a but surprised the Breakers chose Mundy over Wagenfuhr...
